This foundation phase practice takes place in a 20 by 20-yard area and focuses on players developing their ball shielding technique.

The playing area is split into three 5 x 5 yard squares with two players and a ball in each one.
The attackers begin with the ball with the objective to shield it away from the defender for as long as possible.
If defenders win back possession, they then become the player that shields the ball away from the opposition.
