This fun foundation phase practice takes place in a 20 by 20-yard area and focuses on players ability to shoot accurately at a target.

Each player starts with a ball and dribbles around the playing area with the aim of shooting and hitting the coach (the target).
Players need to dribble up close to the coach to ensure they have the best chance possible to land a hit.
All shots need to be low with the coach able to try and dodge the shots to add an extra element of fun to the practice.
Encourage players to keep a tally of how many times they get a hit!
Key Coaching Points:
Low and accurate shots at the coach
Close ball control while dribbling around the playing area
Progressions:
Players who hit an unsuccessful shot must fetch the ball and perform a skill of the coaches choice before attempting another shot. (E.g. 5 Toe-taps)
Player Questions:
How can you improve your accuracy when shooting at the target (Form and Technique)?
