How it's set up
This practice takes place in a 40 by 45-yard area and focuses on developing passing combinations to create opportunities to finish. We setup with mannequins and cones as shown in the session image, with a goal and goalkeeper on one end. To begin, the CM with the ball (8) plays a pass to the winger (7) who sets it back inside for CM. The striker (9) will perform a double movement and come short to receive the central pass, before playing through for our winger who makes a run in behind between the mannequins to receive and finish past the GK. The sequence is then repeated from the other side.
