How it's set up

This small sided game takes place in a 25 by 40-yard area and focuses on timing of forward runs and playing well weighted through balls. We setup with a 5 v 5 in the central area, a goal with a goalkeeper on each end and two 10-yard finishing zones on each end. The objective of this practice is for the team in possession to combine and play through for forward runners into the end zone to finish on one touch. No other attackers and defenders are allowed to drop back into the zone once the pass is played through. If the defenders win possession they must look to combine and get in behind to finish.
