How it's set up

This practice take takes place in a 30 by 36-yard area and is focused on developing combination play and finishing. We setup with 3 teams of 4 players each, with one team starting as the attackers, one as the defenders and one as the outside players starting with the balls. To begin, coaches will call a player’s name or number, determining the outside player who must pass their ball to the attackers. The attackers must combine and finish to earn a goal. This is then repeated for all 4 outside balls, with an overall score kept. If defenders win possession, they must combine effectively to find a pass to one of the outside players- earning their team a goal. Teams switch roles after all 4 balls are used.
