How it's set up
This foundation phase practice takes place in a 15 by 20-yard area and is a fun race developing players agility, dribbling and finishing. We setup with two circuits mirroring each other, as shown in the example image, and players split into two teams. Players will compete in a 1 v 1 race against each other with the team who has the most individual wins, winning the race! To begin, players will hop through the rings, before running around the central pole. Next they will collect the ball in front of them then dribble around the final pole and towards the central cone. Once they pass the cone they can finish in the mini goal. The player who finishes the circuit and scores a goal first is the winner! If both players miss their shots, they must quickly fetch their ball and try again to be the first to finish.
