How it's set up

This practice takes place in a 15 by 20-yard area and focuses on developing passing and movement to receive as a pair. We setup by creating two 8 by 8-yard squares, with a 4-yard gap between them and splitting players into three pairs. Two pairs start as possession teams (Red & Gold) in the two zones, while one pair (Blue) starts as the defending team. We begin with a 2 v 1 Rondo in the 1st zone, with the objective for the team in possession to make 5 passes before being able to transfer possession to the other zone. Once possession is transferred, the 2nd defender (Blue 2) enters the zone to try and win possession. If the defender wins possession they switch roles with the team that lost possession.
