How it's set up
Set up a 6 by 8-yard box (adjustable based on age and ability) with one goalkeeper positioned at the bottom of the box. A second goalkeeper ( or CDM) can be added at the top of the box to allow both to work simultaneously. Two pressing defenders operate inside the box, with supporting players on either side, facilitating ball movement from one side to the other under pressure. The objective is for the team to keep possession, moving the ball from one side to the other. You can have a pass target, such as 8 passes = goal, to reward the possession team or you can reward the team with a goal after each switch of direction. If the defenders win possession, they switch out with the supporting players.
