How it's set up
This practice is set up in a 20 by 20-yard area with two mannequins representing an opposition striker and winger. Three mini goals are positioned to simulate passing options: the opposite midfielder, the number 10 in the pocket, and the near-side full back. The coach begins by playing a bounce pass to the centre back, who performs a safe side turn in front of the wide mannequin. The player then opens their body, steps forward past the mannequins, and passes into the central mini goal. The sequence focuses on body shape, touch direction, and breaking the first line of pressure through effective ball progression. Continue this sequence 8 times before allowing a rest period.
